With Labor Day weekend come and gone summer is slowly fading into a crisper autumn mood. To say farewell to our favorite season we created a collection of our most coveted outdoor living trends for 2018- which lucky for us in SoCal, we can still enjoy for months to come!
1. Outdoor tile design
Tile work has become more lively indoors and outdoors this year, with more creativity in color, shape, and patterns being seen in home trends. Our favorite designs in tile work are definitely seen outdoors, with tiled fireplaces, patios, and even showers adding a splash of style to indoor/outdoor living.

2. Tree centered patios
Construction planned around mature plant life instead of clearing it away is a landscaping trend on the rise. We LOVE seeing homes and outdoor patios incorporating trees into the design of the space and even highlighting trees as a centerpiece.

3. Minimal rustic
We adore a good drought tolerant yard, not only for its eco conscious design but also for the minimal aesthetic it conveys. This summer we saw more homes reflecting this pared down look into the design of their outdoor spaces in patios, pool areas, and even outdoor dining.

4. Outdoor showers
Outdoor showers are no longer just for surfers- although we have plenty of those in SoCal! This free spirited luxury is a trend being seen in homes for people of all lifestyles and interests. Why the increase in this outdoor build out? An outdoor shower conveys a sense of being on vacation and a sense of adventure, which we all strive for in Southern California.
